this book is giving 'if demon slayer was a romantasy' and I'm kinda here for it but I also have a lot of questions and I hope the twists will be twisting

probably gonna make this book my personality for the next few weeks

may the amazingly talented miss r.f. kuang save me from my reading slump 🤝🏻 (if I even feel an ounce of the feels the poppy war gave me, I'll be a happy woman)

sadly it's not moving as fast as I thought AND it's also not really all that close to the original fairytale like I hoped... the fairytale already HAPPENED in this story and I would have preferred to read a classic retelling :( it's still well written and all but I'm not hooked enough to read it as fast as I would like :')

a trope just happened which I really don't like and idk how to feel

so far a little slow but I love the atmosphere of shearwater

pacing bricht mich... da passiert sooo wenig 😭

my fantasy ass never would have picked this up but my dear friend chose it for me - plus it has an unhinged protagonist which I am always down for so I'll see where this will take me

Plot is RUNNING
(wish there was a little more character work though)

VERY exciting and fast paced, exactly what I needed 👀

alles ergibt endlich einen Sinn und alles, was ich sagen kann, ist "aua" 🥲🥺

Also das Buch hat definitiv seine Stärken aber für 400 Seiten ist für meinen Geschmack irgendwie zu wenig passiert bisher und da ist zu wenig stringenter Plot und zu wenig Aussicht auf das Finale des Buchs 🥲
