1 Kings.
A little about king Solomon and how he strayed from God. But also how did he have 700 wives?

Samuel 2. Not as enjoyable. Too many names and places

Finished Samuel 1. LOVED IT. This is the most narrative one (with not that many deaths) since Genesis and Exodus. Eager to start Samuel 2

Ruth. Very short

Judges

Finished Joshua. The people from Egypt finally made it! And inherited the land! Jericho mentioned.

Finished Deuteronomy. Death of Moses is sad

On chapter 27 of Numbers
Also read Matthew pages 1451-1497

Finished Leviticus which is all punishments and sacrifices. Did not enjoy.
Started Numbers. There's a lot of listing. Where are the 600k men going?

Exodus was not as enjoyable as Genesis. There were more bad things happening. And then the instructions of the altars were a slog to read, I skimmed a lot of it.

Finished Chapter 6. Will pick up at another point in 2026

Why did Day 4 "God made two great lights - the greater light to rule the day and the lesser light to rule the night - and the stars" make me burst into tears out of nowhere?
