After finishing They Both Die at the End, I didn’t want to read the rest of the series and risk ruining how special that book felt to me. Yet here we are. The First to Die at the End follows two teens as they live through the launch of Death-Cast. I haven’t connected with them the way I did with Rufus and Mateo, but I’m hoping that changes.

This is not what I was expecting it to become!

The main characters hide their crimes behind normalcy, and that’s what pulls me in. They present a family friendly image that masks what they’ve done. I thought I had reached a point where the story wrapped up, but it didn’t. I honestly hope this book never ends!

After finishing Too Old for This, I knew I wanted to read more from Samantha Downing. My Lovely Wife has the same fast paced chapters and the mix of present day and flashback that keeps me focused. I’m already into it!

I don’t know how a book about a serial killer keeps me laughing, but it does. It’s strange to realize I’m actually rooting for Lottie!

SHUT UP THIS BOOK IS SO GOOD

Lottie Jones doesn’t waste time. The first few pages open with a killing, and the pace never slows. She’s cold, sharp, and unpredictable. I’m curious to see how far she’ll go next!

Hmm.. The death in this book is a little underwhelming? However, I am still going to keep reading!

Super fun concept! You always hear the horror stories about MLM boss babes (I used to binge-watch Hannah Alonzo videos), so I’m excited to get an extended version of that here. So far, it’s super engaging. I can totally picture the tanned, blonde baddies. Can’t wait to see who dies!

The character development that happens here REALLY hits home! Love to see growth!

What a fun, fast paced story! Even though the conflict was predictable from the start, I am thoroughly enjoying this novel.

Typical rom-com vibe with all the usual feels. I’m still confused about Infinite Darlene’s character though. Are they meant to be a trans character, or are they just in drag all the time and also the football team captain?

So far, this book is your classic boy-meets-girl situation, but with two boys! The pace is super fast, so it pulls you in right away. Really cute so far. Can’t wait to see where it goes!

Made it to Part Four, and I can’t believe how attached I am to these two fictional characters! I’m dreading finding out their fate, but at the same time, I never want this book to end.

This book has been such a quick, easy read so far. Fast paced, interesting, and really heartfelt.

This book gives the cliché of two totally different people crossing paths and forming a connection…already a bit of an eye roll. But the idea that they get a day death notice is super interesting. Makes you think about how you’d spend your last day. Curious to see how the main characters relationship plays out.

Started this after finishing a fave series, so maybe I’m a little biased. Having a hard time getting into it, but I like the setting and the rotating POVs. Tension’s already building and I’m only 50 pages in. Gonna keep at it, but it’ll be a slower read.
