So far, I'm actually not enjoying this book as much as I thought I would. I hate that the author keeps changing the date all the time. Every chapter goes forward or goes back in time. It just feels forced. Characters at the moment are shallow and not so interesting, and I'm almost 1/3 into the book. To be honest, I was expecting a lot more from this. But at least I'm practicing my Spanish.

Finally got started with this huge book! The opening is quite nice. King uses short scenes to introduce characters and situations. As of now, I have absolutely no idea if any of these characters will continue or die. But I'm liking it so far. I usually love stories with many characters!

CHILDREN OF THE CORN: Finished this short story a few days ago. Well, as the name implies, it involves children and corn. It wasn't my favorite story, but wasn't bad, either. I had fun reading, and wished it was longer and more detailed. I would rate this one 3-stars. About 13 stories left! Please follow me and check out my profile! Thanks!

I've finished both "Children of the Corn" and "Strawberry Spring" short stories. From these two, I can honestly say I enjoyed them both, but the latter was a shorter and much more interesting read. Such an interesting time this Strawberry Spring...

Going for the last third of the book! So far, going well. I just need to read the ending to know if it wraps up everything in a good way.

I’m almost finished with this Brazilian classic. The second story is much better than the first, though it’s still not quite my style. I find the language overly elaborate and old-fashioned.

The Midnight Library is a pleasant read — not amazing, but good. It’s a bit predictable, which makes it drag at times, but the short chapters keep things moving. What stands out is the message: beautiful, meaningful, and important. I’m enjoying it and would recommend it, though I expected more. It’s a simple book, for better or worse.

Estou lendo este livro numa edição em português, pela editora Suma. O livro é excelente! Estou na metade e aproveitando cada sessão de leitura. Alguns trechos poderiam ser mais curtos, talvez, mas sendo o clássico que é, não mudaria nada!

Ich bin mit dem Buch schon halb durch. Die Geschichten sind einfach, aber interessant. Ich lese es, um mein Deutsch zu üben. Das Niveau ist mittelschwer: Manche Sätze sind einfacher, andere komplexer. Hervorragend zum Deutschlernen!

CINCO MINUTOS: Conto de época com temática romântica. Não curti. Só terminei de ler porque estou me forçando a conhecer alguns clássicos brasileiros, mas o estilo da linguagem utilizada na escrita não me apetece e tampouco o tema. Achei um romance sem graça. Não é meu estilo. Estou tentando gostar de literatura brasileira, mas não está fácil.

NAS MONTANHAS DA LOUCURA: Não gostei da história. Achei extremamente difícil de ler. Os parágrafos são longos e difíceis de acompanhar. As descrições são abstratas e confusas. Os comentários teoricamente científicos parece que são só para dar certa credibilidade ao que está sendo escrito. Realmente não é meu estilo de leitura. Quase desisti de ler. Se fosse maior, desistiria.
