First book 3.5/5 cute book, loved the older FMC! Finally not an 18 year old!

Second book 5/5- I’ve never read Pepper Basham but I adored her book! Loved the NC setting! Loved the girl in construction! Loved the bad boy prince who had a background to his negative behavior rather than just being a entitled jerk because he’s rich

Still getting the mass effect vibes.

Trying to remember that this is supposed to be about a bunch of teenage boys, the language is a bit similar to how I remember kids in my teens.
The idea of the field trips was really cool! Where the kids are taken to the spot of historical events in one year and then that same spot in another year!

Hmmm don’t know about this book. I LOVE the movie. But the anti Christian rhetoric isn’t great.

Almost thought I was going to get my favorite trope. I am not rooting for Mal 😭 I want the Mal from the beginning of book 1, cool, unaffected, sarcastic, not the “oh but will you still want me if you fix the world” like for real dude? She’s trying to save the world. And oh by the way that would save your life and at least give you a shot…ugh!

So….much….cringe!! King of Hearts was unreadable!!

Soft DNF just not enough time for all the books

Almost don’t but gosh it’s been a struggle! I just don’t care much about the characters even though I can tell that the author does, and she’s trying to convey the love through the main character but there isn’t enough backstory

Ugh! 😩 sexualizing children. Talking about having sex at 15, and not with negative connotations just grosses me out! To the DNF pile. Maybe I’m doomed not to read secular contemporary romance.

Taking a chance on this book as a normally Christian fiction reader, but not a prude. I wanted to read something in the mainstream market, but don’t want smut. So far I’m enjoying the story. Definitely some of what I would consider unneeded profanity. But Blake’s character is done well so far because he is 100% a guy that I would have crossed in college!

The first novella was good. A really sweet story, and a quick romance with the story being so short. It’s sad how much BSA have changed in such a short time. The story and lessons were giving 5/5 energy, but because of culture changing it dated the badly dated the story so Stormy Weather gets a 3/5 for me

Cute read so far. Definitely could have finished this in probably two sittings in an afternoon, but I’ve been reading it with other books and it’s memorable enough to put down and pick up.

Pretty sure this is a DNF- 11 pages in and using tropes I’m not into. Also talking about sex in a nonchalant way in past relationships. (Having sex in his parent’s basement) Getting icky vibes this early, and knowing I have a lot better (higher rated) romances on my shelf, this for me is a no.

Odd feeling like this is a slow burn love story when they’re a married couple 😳 love the drama and dying for resolution!

Oh my Gosh!! I loved this book! How is she able to capture the naivety of teens, and the jaded caution of adulthood within pages of each other! The story in the story is giving everything! I’ve cried twice already! This may be a 5 star contemporary! I haven’t had one of those! Maybe I will actually like contemporary too 👀
