Loving this so far.
The reading style is very conversational. It reminds me of the easy reading style from the Sookie Stackhouse books. It’s easy to get lost in the world. I’m listening to a friend tell me a story.
Plenty of details without being too much.
Love the characters!!!!

The first 2 stories were a lot of fun.
This is my first dive into the world, so I’m a little confused about the grim, he’s not what I was expecting.
Really enjoying things so far!

I’m enjoying it, but I’m still grasping for something else. I want more of something but I can’t figure out what, maybe things are a little repetitive and that’s where I’m struggling.

I want to see more of Desmond’s power.
I’m definitely reading the sequel.

Interested to see how this wraps up!

The world building here is a lot of fun without it being too high handed.
I’m really enjoying the characters and how they interact with each other.
I’m also a sucker for food as a device and now I want to try pottage.

Really enjoying this so far! Tomb Raider meets the fae. Excited to see where we go!

That first chapter was a doozy. The writing style/ world building had a feeling of taking itself very seriously. Felt very “this is high fantasy and you will know it is serious”. (GEORGE R. R. Martin feels the same to me). But I feel like that leveled out a little in Chapter 2.
We started with a lot of action and an interesting premise, so I am eager to see where things go next!

Slow.
Fun reveal of character ties to companion book.
I’m putting this on hold.

Not great. Lots of trivia- not a lot of plot.

Best of the 3.
Picked up into what I’ve been hoping for.

Good little Sci Fi twist.
I don’t want this to connect to ACOTAR- it doesn’t sit right with me.

I think maybe I just don’t like this series. Part of me is contemplating going to the Wikipedia pages just so I know how it ends so I can quit, but I’m trying to give it a chance because the end of the last book did make me cry. I was facing the loss of my mom so that may have had something to do with it, but still I’m holding out hope.
