Interesting…

So, I started this after Throne of Glass (I did take a break from reading to put some distance between series) and it has not gripped me yet. I even listening to the audiobook on Spotify to see if it will help. However, I did watch the retelling of this done by Stephanie Soo (Baking and a Mystery) and I enjoyed her telling of the story, but I want to read this for myself.

I am currently reading the Webtoon of this and have been enjoying it until I found out this was a book. So, I brought it since I have been a reading slump and it is okay, but I'm waiting for the story to pick up and suck me in!

Since finishing Throne of Glass Series, I have been in a book slump. Then I got a notification from my library that this book was available. This is my 1st Rebecca Yarros book and so far, I am out of the woods.

This book is WRECKING AND BREAKING my heart!!!! Not Manon’s crew giving the ultimate sacrifice!!! I’ve got 23% left…I don’t think my heart can handle this.

Oh WOW!!! I have been on a trip through this section!

I had to restart because I completely forgot what happen in the 35 pages I had already read.

I have 15 chapters left and it is sooo good!!!

I have 25 chapters left and this book is finally getting better!!!

I pulled an all nighter to read over 1/3 of this book!!

Plus, if they ever make this into a movie or a show, Ch. 38 better be replicated exactly as it was written. That was well written.

This book has given me life!!

This book is an ocean with waves where it holds my attention and then it loses me… if I EVER re-read this series, it will be one book at a time! Neseryn an Yrene are my favorites so far. Chaol…warming up on me, but still my yuck list.

I went from shock, to joy, to Anger, to speechless, to needing to recover from all these emotions from Ch. 17 and 18...Again, Manon is proving to me why she is my favorite right now, next to Aelin.

I need to know what happens to Manon’s 2nd in command? I’m tempted to skip through just to find out.

I am hooked!! I love the witches POV and Aelin is killing it with Rowan. However, Chaol... he is getting on my last nerves blaming everybody for issues that they had no control of dealing with. I hope that he will start to get a grip.

I am 63% through and I am in the middle of FL and Rowan in the bed healing.
