I was worried heading into this was as I’d heard it’s about one major battle and battles is something I tend to skim over in fantasy. By god has Joe Abercrombie changed my mind. His prose is absolutely fantastic, he keeps everything interesting and fresh throughout every single scene. This is a really great book and could be my favourite of his so far!
