Can't put it down...

Just started. Sooooo excited to get this from the library. Woooohoooo.

I started reading this book because my friend and avid reader, Cath, gave it 5 stars. Come to find out, she was referring to Invisible Man, not HGWells at all. Someone was not paying attention. I am enjoying this old classic just the same.

Yes, it's a beach book. No judging please.

Audible says I still have 29 hours left to hear. Huge book. Smart move though listening...

My e book was taken back by library. Sadly, I am reading so slow these days that library books (due in 3 weeks), are not my best bet. And, yes I tried to renew. I am 2nd in line for a hardback copy when back to FL.. that's good.

I am not. I am not going to read another WW2 book (fiction or non), not for a long time, i said as I picked up this book, began reading, and do not wish to put down...

Sooo. I have been reading this book a very long time. Terrific author, wonderful writing, but it feels dark. Like every page I read, I am waiting for something awful to happen. Anyway, Book is great, Robin is easily distracted these days.

Doubt I would have pick this book up without a nudge from Cathi. Thanks Cath. Today I had a good laugh from this quote by main character, Eleanor: "as if a silver (ribbon) in the egg and spoon race was some sort of compensation for not understanding how to use an apostrophe. " I made darn sure I spelled apostrophe correctly.

So I don't remember putting this book in my library e book que but here it is. And it's the only one available. Ha. So I start to read and its it's just easy, silly, likely-romantic fluff. I could snub the book or keep reading. Actually, I think it came at the perfect time.

For better or worse, very committed to this book. Sucked right in.

Hmm, definitely a summer read...

Is it just me, or is 250 E pages more time consuming than 250 paper-book pages? Why on earth is it taking me so damn long to read this relatively short book.
