Just finished the 4th short story in the collection, Saint Marie, and found the story fascinating where Marie joins a convent and gets revenge on the abusive Sister Leapolda after she physically abuses Marie. I was confused about the dust motif but really enjoyed reading the revenge plot, where Marie becomes Saint Marie

Most of the way through and just not my favorite book - I think it is mostly the genre than anything else but the plot is kind of basic and boring for me

Enjoying the audiobook a lot! I wonder if some of the material would be a bit dull for me, as someone who typically reads novels, if I were actually reading the book. Nonetheless, it reads like a memoir where we follow John green’s deep dive into the history and omnipresence of tuberculosis, and there is enough of a ‘story’ to keep me interested.

I’ve finished the first two short stories and enjoyed reading them both.
