This reads a bit like AI to me. There aren’t any personal stories from the author so far. The sections feel like quick hits, making it very easy to skim. Not necessarily a bad thing if you want something fast to read.

I must have misunderstood what this book was about. From the title and the cover page, I thought this was going to be about how to study the Bible more in depth and give more insight into actually studying. This seems more like an overview of the Bible and maybe for people who aren’t familiar with Bible reading.

Did I miss the part where they are at beach houses? Because I thought the houses were on a lake? I’ve been so confused on why this is called “Beach Read.”

It’s taken me 2 months to read less than 100 pages… goodness, this book is boring.

I feel like if you watched the Hulu documentary, you don’t really need to read this. I watched the documentary and this is pretty much the same

How are y’all pronouncing Dacre? I looked it up and the actual pronunciation sounds uglier than how I am reading it in my mind 😂😂 in my mind, I’m pronouncing it like “Dock-ruh.”

This book is turning into one of those novels that turns out to be about nothing other than friends living their lives. It reminds me somewhat of Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, but not in an endearing way. I’m trying to get through it but this one is dragging.

The female main character is super annoying. I can believe her being in her 20s, but the guy doesn’t seem like he would be in his 20s. I did not read the description for this book enough before choosing it as my BOTM. I’m still getting through it but all the lusty talk is annoying and I don’t really see chemistry between the characters. They’re just in close proximity to each other.
