as much as this book is engaging, and somewhat educating, it does feel like something filled with writing I could find on tumblr for free. I think the premise is good, but this could have been an online forum, it think drawing attention to female sexuality is good, however the execution is flawed. If all profits went to a woman's charity or went to research funding I'd be muvh happier with it.

obviously it's brilliant, it's Gillian Anderson, but honestly it's very interesting to read how sex presents itself across every women (and generqueer people) around the world, with different race, ethnicity, religion and sexuality, probably the most I've truly been interested in reading lately, hence my flittering through books...

so far it's really good, reread two chapters bc I though I misread, but they did infact use both picturesque and gothic in both, but aside from that the descriptions are great, and I love the way she describes that woman who was in her bedroom as a kid, like "you go little closet lesbian" !!
