I have more questions! 🤨 Messer is blue the bird and he’s been following Acker and Jovie yet he is Kai’s best friend the guy we hate right now…he also was Jovies best friend but I feel like maybe Messer has been tailing them??? Ione and Renelm are so damn messy!!! Them trying to sneak around and be “careful” is as stealthy as a pair of tap dancers!!! 🤣🤭 I love how their relationship is evolving 🥰

Eeeeek!!!! Finally Ravyn has made contact with Elspeth! I just love the fact he would burn the world for her I can’t wait for them to properly reunite!!! 😭😍✨ also is it weird that I kinda love that the nightmare is sort of protecting Elspeth even though it’s also using her…🫪✋🏻

Ione did not come to play!!! She’s an absolute force! That maiden card whilst it has literally sucked the life out of her to give her immense beauty it has also has turned her in to an absolute force to be reckoned with…I’m so here for it too! Using the Scythe card on Elm was just so cold like literal QUEEN behaviour ☝🏻🙂‍↔️

I have one question 🫪☝🏻 do authors like basking in the turmoil of their readers? Asking for a friend?!? 😭😭😭😭😭

Oh the yearning, playfulness and sexual tension building between Von and Sage is just chefs kiss*!!! I can’t describe it the anticipation and excitement between them, it just builds with every chapter!!! This…THIS is what I mean about yearning it’s so vital to a romantasy! 📖 🥰😍 every time there is a steamy scene between von and sage I just melt a little bit more! 🫠👀🤭

The FMC is so relatable in this she literally mid fight with the MMC because she doesn’t know who he is and why she is in his house and she legit is like “damn this man is fine…focus he’s your abductor remember” like same girl same! 😂 Von (MMC) is very very charismatic and charming and dangerously confident if I was the FMC I would melt in and instant from just his gaze! 🫠😍

Okay so I was totally wrong about this book! The last chapters have me in a literal chokehold…like Lys saying to Shea that she is her soul! Like hello… 🙋🏼‍♀️😍 yes pleaseeeeee 🥹🫶🏻

I’m somewhat bored of this book…it had me in the first half but I’m really struggling to finish it…the MMC and FMC relationship feels more like a trauma bond than an actual romantic bond. She is essentially his bloody bag and it kinda feels she has a mild form of Stockholm syndrome…maybe it’s just me idk 🤷🏼‍♀️

I have no words…well maybe a few the only thing that comes to mind right now is forked tongue and the song Beds are burning by midnight oil 😂

So here’s the thing I feel like I’ve missed a book or too because the characters already seem very cosy with each other despite not knowing one another all that well? And to top it off the MMC seems to be infantilising the FMC? At the moment I don’t really feel any special connection to Faeryn or Graysen there’s no substance to their relationship, yearning people I need YEARNING

Enjoying the book so far, it’s very early to tell whether I feel it’s going to be good or bad. All I know is this book has one of the funniest lines I’ve ever read “My face fell into my own cleavage in exasperation” like what away to describe a bad situation 😂 I’m not sure how I feel about the character putting dirt (ash) through her hair either to dye it because she’s human but I digress…

This book is not for the weak! Now we’re in the past and I’ve come to find that she’s already met KAINE!!! I’m so invested in what’s gone wrong because I don’t think everything is as it seems! Luc seems to be more of a figure head than an actual leader…someone else is defo pulling the strings - I’m devoured by this book! 🥹

Is anyone else feeling like they are on a knife’s edge reading this book? It’s so good but so harrowing and that’s putting it lightly…I can’t seem to put the book down but I also feel so distressed reading what I am reading. It’s a weird mix in a melancholy way I’m enjoying it but I am also hating it too… what Helena is going through is just horrifying and I don’t know whether I’m coming or going

I’m enjoying reading Levan and Saffrons relationship bloom! They have such a deep connection honestly it’s so heartwarming! However I’m struggling with the story telling a bit. I thought I would be infatuated with this book but I’m not really fussed. The reason I thought I’d be more obsessed is because it’s like a spicy Harry Potter. 🙂‍↔️😍🥲
