i’ve finally reached the start of act three. millie is a person of interest in the killing of mr garrick. wendy told the police that millie was having an affair with her husband. brock (still a stupid ass name) breaks up with millie after being told about her prison record and the evidence of an affair. millie wants to call enzo but won’t.

i’m stressed. eve’s family has abruptly showed up to the b&b. eve hadn’t taken the steps to quit the event planning job before jacob found out. jacob is acting from a place of hurt, rejecting eve after literally just becoming an official couple.

eve and jacob are so cute and perfect together. eve recognizes the signs of autism in her own life and her family. jacob wants to work of his fears of leaving. eve can truly envisioned herself staying in skybriar. my heart 🥰🥹

feelings have been made known to each other, yet they (mostly jacob) fuck things up. i’m obsessed!!!!

giggling and kicking my feet. the book is so funny and entertaining

i really like that lynette realizes all the people she cares about and wants to protect/stay alive for. that’s definitely a sweet, very touching moment.

love an unreliable narrator because what do you mean lynette has blocked out and lied about the two attempts on her life? that partially explains why i was so uncomfortable about the therapist’s son. i still don’t know who is trying to finish off all the final girls.

i feel so insane. i feel so invested. i love the dynamics of the characters, but i was kinda thrown off with the weird thirsting over the 20-something-year-old son of the therapist… whoops.

so is the book trying to say that enzo ratted millie out? that’s literally insane. it’s so stupid that millie is debating between brock and enzo, especially if frieda is painting enzo as a rat.

i did not account for enzo. he’s so forgettable. he’s actually the one that got xavier arrested for drugs. oh and of course millie tells brock she loves him and enzo shows up two seconds later. wendy is at the motel by herself. this book is split up into four parts… i don’t know what to expect or care about for the next 200 pages.

so wendy is how millie got hired… that feels obvious. i think brock is the reason xavier is in jail for drugs. i’m assuming that millie and wendy make it to the farm, but that’s where the first scene takes place. douglas finds out and tries to kill millie and wendy and the old friend. that’s all i have so far.

millie is not a girl’s girl like she thinks she is. dating enzo is a bit of a cop out. the downstairs neighbor, xavier, is stalking millie. that’s it.

the book finally gives more context as to millie’s current situation. she’s feeling like she’s being followed. she’s really not down to commit to a serious relationship with brock. ew to the lifespan of a caucasian man in this country line. her new employer is a man not a woman. feels like verity vibes… freida mcfadden is not beating the plagiarism allegations any time soon. LOSER!

oh great… here we go again. i guess it’s been a couple of years, and millie claims to be in a better spot until she loses her job. she likes kids now? sure… the south bronx is scary? sure… her boyfriend has a heart condition we need to be aware of? i guess.

i’m definitely interested in this book. the dynamics and obvious denial of this group of final girls is so interesting. i didn’t realize that this is not a completely modern book, as it’s set in 2010. this book follows the lives of women in their 30s to 50s, a unlikely group of women to meet under different circumstances. i think these women truly respect each other and will ultimately always support another.

it’s nina’s perspective now and well nina is calling andrew an evil, sadistic man. i guess i was right about andrew being worst than nina.

part one ended on millie being locked in her room upstairs. interesting things that happened: enzo speaks more fluent english to tell millie to leave, millie was being tracked by nina through the phone. i think millie will end up killing nina in self-defense by the end of the book. what’s gonna happen to cecelia? oh and i think andrew has slept with multiple maids before millie.

andrew calls it quits on his marriage with nina. millie better continue to watch her back!

of course millie and andrew sleep together while in the city. but andrew doesn’t like enzo but nina wants to keep enzo. maybe that’s a sign that both andrew and nina are dangerous. maybe andrew is more dangerous than nina and the readers don’t know.

look, i know millie has been lonely for the past ten years but she’s gotta cool it with the “sexual” tension on the only two men in her immediate area. it’s rumored that nina tried to kill herself and cecelia while andrew was away. andrew obviously doesn’t have the love he once had for nina.

nina being previously sent to a mental institution is kinda lame. everyone thinks nina is jealous, or should be jealous, of millie. seems like millie and andrew are going to cheat. nina can’t get pregnant and might be physically abusive towards andrew.

millie’s starting to show a little bit of that pent up anger. i’m slightly more interested in this book than never lie.
