i’m not a huge fan of the language in the book and how it’s written, but the plot is good and intriguing. it almost reminds me of a shitty romance book that is made for an audience of teenage girls, but it’s toxic in the sense that the plot is a “can’t-put-it-down” type of read. we’ll see how this goes…

our book club is meeting on tuesday to talk about the first 150 pages and omg… i need to keep reading asap. it’s a bit of a slow development, but in the best way possible. pieces of the past are slowly coming together and it’s not quite predictable as to what has occurred on this island. i’m so excited to continue reading this book.

very interesting so far, there’s a lot of secrets between the characters and i can’t quite tell how they’re all connected
