Took a big break from this one after reading the first half because Lancelot was so aggravating. Then picked it up again to read Matilde’s perspective and it’s incredible!!! Lauren Groff is really a genius.

I don’t love the author’s voice…the imagery is lacking, the dialogue is immature, and doesn’t give the characters distinct manners of speaking. Holding out hope that it gets better.
