I’m ready to get snowed in this winter so I can just read.

Such a good book. I really love the writing style it flows and is easy to read. I feel addicted and sad I have to take breaks to eat,sleep and go to the bathroom.

I’m enjoying it but I don’t agree with the protagonist at all. The sailing and boat descriptions were confusing to me and I didn’t get the visual. I found it weird that she just didn’t have a voice and then fully spoke fluent English. It would have been more interesting if Celeste was super intelligent.

The style is somewhat hard to get into, it’s very stop go and allot of information gets repeated. I also noticed since inconsistencies that bothered me. When she was a mermaid with a tail,a shark dove for legs she didn’t have yet; the dogs nose went from being black to pink; and one minute she’s naked asking the sea witch if she need anything to blend in and then she has armor on that’s being ripped off.

Wanting to go on vacation & just read my TBR list

Very sad and a hard read so far. I also don’t want to relive my hardest moments in life but I would do for justice like she is doing.

My favorite part so far:
“We asked Fern at the magic store what’s a good incense to burn if you’re more of a bitch”
“ like if you’re a bitch and the best imaginable way?”
“ or if you’re just a bitch”

Wow! I had no idea what La Toya was going through in her 20s. I love how raw it is, she reveals a lot.
