Okay, really Viking with this first issue. Nice samurai pop culture fantasy setting with a dark twist on Wolverine mythos. I’m interested to see what happens next with the Hulk series…and wonder if that’s mirroring the first encounter of Wolverine and the Hulk in the main universe. Even if it’s standalone samurai berserker Hulk, though, I’m here for it.

So far not bad, F$ faced with a real relatable problem. Not any great superhoring to be had, but no complaints as of yet.

Great start and great intro to Deadpool, lots of comedy and excess violence pushing the limits of Marvel’s general print. Or maybe there’s something about Deadpool as a character that makes the content less shocking? More on that as I get drunk.

All right, been selling this short. This does everything I want with an alternate world setting. Focus on familiar characters in new settings, nice nods to the past, (I mean the town’s called Timely -chef’s kiss-) and nobody’s safe. Gerry Dugan might be a writer I’ll be adding to my pile in addition to all this other shizzy I be doing.

Okay….pretty dope Shakespearean take on Cloke and Dagger….uh…wasn’t really expecting it though and it kind of felt like….filler? Like, well done filler, but filler all the same. But the this issue ends on a trippy enough note that I’m willing to stick it out and see if it can climb up to a 4.

Still feel like they’re too many moving parts and maybe some back issue reading htat would make the story make more sense. Making that slide back toward the 3 side of occasion. However, the art is trippier and darker and a bit more violent than most Marvel books. Worth a gander so far, but think it might be better appreciated with a few missing pieces added to the collection.

Yo, so I’m grading series by series as I go. And yeah, I’m a little drunk and/or high while I do that. This has some nice solid pieces. Part of Hickman’s Secret World and Angela has some bizarre history with Marvel. Right now I’d give the book after issue 1 somewhere between 3 and 4 territory. Spectacular art, some great cameos from familiar faces…but maybe too many moving parts for a limited run .
