This is my first book by Christopher Paolini and I wasn't impressed for the first few chapters but as the story developed it got better. Then several things reminded me of Iain M. Banks (who is one of my favorite writers). So many things reminded me of Banks that I went to Christopher Paolini's website to see if he mentions Banks, he did not, that I found. Has any other Banks fans Read this book?
