The writing's a bit choppy, but kinda Stine-esque? And made me immediately like Percy, unlike the movie where he first appeared sitting in the water smiling like a weirdo. He was a weirdo alright, but a 12-year-old weirdo at a school for kids with special needs is so much more interesting.
