had a really good start but now it’s kind of slowing down. still very much so engaged but it’s not as enthralling as i’d hoped for. again wishing we had a xaden pov so we can build more context and not have to read about violets sublaxed joints every other page (i swear if i read that word one more time imma crash out)

honestly i’ve skipped through like a third of this book if not more, i like chaol but not enough to read a 600 book about his self-loathing. also what’s her name i still don’t care for so im skipping most of her chapters too lmao. jumping back to empire of storms is such a relief.

ok thank god i started to read this book while also reading empire of storms. i think if i had to read this completely on its own i would have skipped to the last book lmao.

saw on tik tok to tandem read this book and empire of storms so i’m not stuck with an entire book of only chaol.. so here we go

i love how the story is growing! but some of this stuff could get cut out it’s making the story drag.

manon’s story is getting boring. way too much foreshadowing combined with this book and last book just to still not learn fully about the role she’s gonna play in the big picture. like give me answers the suspense that was building doesn’t mean anything anymore because i’m BORED. but other than that i’m enjoying every other story :)

got sucked in to this book so quickly, didn’t want to put it down until i saw what time it was lmao
