Dr. Lipstadt does an amazing job of detailing how Holocaust denial and the industry that has grown up around it is just another facet of Antisemitism and racism.

This is an amazing book - and what I have come to expect from Dr. Lipstadt. She lays out the situation clearly and succinctly and has enormous evidence to support her arguments. It infuriated me from the first page to how prevalent these Holocaust deniers and how in the name of the free speech media is willing to give them a platform and legitimacy.

Ido is on page 200 of 316 of Nothing to Envy: Ordinary Lives in North Korea
This is a really shocking book. I remember the famine in North Korea but I never realized the magnitude and the depth of it. This book is clearly an eye-opener - and it helps me realize that the North Koreans are not a homogeneous population in terms of their beliefs and their desires. Barbara Demick makes it clear that these people are just like you and me. Their leaders are nuts - but, then again, so are ours.

I have to wonder how I missed reading this book for so long. It's a well developed story that has kept me engaged.

Overall this has been, until now, pretty much the same stuff I’ve read in The Case Against Sugar by Gary Taubes and Fat Chance by Dr. Robert Lustig. It’s still very much worthwhile but nothing I don’t already know.
