Airplane reading

This is great so far. I know it’s quite short but still very effective. The farther I get into it the sadder it makes me.

I’m frankly not convinced this brother of Jake is real. Especially considering how he sort of adopted the identity he describes his brother to be when he’s at his parent’s house. It also interests me that every time they bold words at the beginning of a paragraph it’s always 5. The same number of words in “I’m Thinking of Ending Things.”

I am absolutely loving this writing style of following her train of thought. It’s so natural and interesting, I’m so fully engaged with the conversations and ideas/questions they present to one another.

This is so gripping so far. Pairing it with images of Kaufman’s film makes this even more enjoyable. Kaufman’s film and this book have synergetic atmospheres is incredible.

I’m almost finished!

This is getting very good, I’m really enjoying hearing Victor’s incredibly biased perspective. I assume everything he says about the monster will be flipped when we hear his perspective.
