Jake DeGear is on page 24 of 688 of Leviathan (Penguin Classics)
This is a toughy. Everything is very abstract and hard to comprehend, not to mention the difference in the language and writing from so long ago. An audiobook might be a necessity to get through this one

Very slow at this point, just getting to Part 2. Interesting dynamic shift at least with Feyre and Tamlin, so that’s interesting at least. Hopefully this next part can do some new things

So far kind of slow, but I really like the writing and it seems to be building to something really big right now

Really interesting stuff and great insights. Keeps me reading and is very easily digestible. Sometimes it feels like he’s just laying out the facts rather than what to do with them which I don’t particularly love, but other times that problem is addressed somewhat so it’s not always an issue

Really interesting perspective. I think I like his idea of 20 short arguments rather than one large point. Makes the book feel very manageable (even though it’s already only slightly more than 200 pages).

Really interesting, a very gripping read. The main character is very head strong, making decisions I don’t necessarily agree with, but the story that follows is certainly interesting to follow

Pretty interesting so far. Not the kind of book that I’d typically read, but the world building has been good and keeps me wanting to learn more and more about it.

Made it to part 2! Really interesting because the crash is being set up as not nearly as bad as I expected it to have been for those involved

The market collapsed!!! Sort of. Really gripping account of all that happened on October 24, 1929. Hard to put down during it

I like that each chapter follows someone different. It was hard to follow at first but now I’m more familiar with the people and some have now been seen for a second time so it’s becoming a lot easier to understand the different players leading up to this crisis

A very interesting account of the events leading up to the crash at the end of 1929. I like the personal aspect, how it follows different people with power during this time. It’s interesting and is scarily similar to market conditions in today’s markets as well
