SLOW slow start but it’s finally managing to grip me. thank you Eurostar

the most unrealistic part of this fantasy book about golems and magic and vampire bankers is that adora belle dearheart would be shocked at seeing a cupboard full of fetish gear

like 150 pages in it’s finally getting tolerable. still undecided on whether the slog was worth it we’ll see how the plot progresses

bret easton ellis uses pop culture like some people use punctuation. there were three straight pages of just various celebrities names in this chunk. i am trying to stick with it until it gets a bit more psychological but god this is insufferable right now

he has name dropped so many celebrities and I know who like 30% of them are

finally got to the dramatic plot reveal that I already knew about because the blurb immediately spoils it
