OMG I honestly didn’t really care about this family. I felt like the book wasn’t really coming to a point. I was just listening to listen to it. Because I don’t really like to stop a book halfway through.… But after the beach scene, and the way the author just left my dad was ash over New York. OMG I did not see that coming. Strangely feel sad for the family.

I feel bad for his family. Not necessarily him.

I don’t feel bad for what happened in the closet in the prison. I feel like this book is trying to get us to feel sorry for him… but I just can’t get over it

I honestly could care less about his life. Idk why I’m reading this. When he attempted to die, I honestly was like “good”

It’s really hard to get through. My son is almost two and the entire first part of the book had me holding my breath and imagining terrible things. I also pictured my husband in his shoes, and realized that he would never be in his shoes because my husband is a good Godly man. I pray something like this never happens to my family, but this man deserved everything. I don’t even know if I want to finish.
