Haha one of the characters just asked the other "Who the bleep carries a machete "

A bit confusing so far honestly. Like wait what? Race is Vince's son? When did that happen? Who freaking carries a machete around when they're riding a bike?

This book is hilarious. Inane. Ridiculous.

The story has really picked up near the end. Still don't really like Hallie but oh well.

Is Boyd in on it or does he have "powers" too? What's up with Pete? What is up with the left side of Hallie's face? Why does she keep touching it. Also Eddie's ghost kept staring at Boyd's face. What was that shenanigans in the office?

Not sure how I feel about this one yet. On one hand I like the premise & the story. On the other it's got some issues. There is repetition in the actions of the characters. So far Hallie is 1 dimensional. Everything makes her angry. There's a few good moments where you get to see more of why she is the way she is. Mostly, she's just angry. About 50% of her dialogue is the word sh**. It's often ALL she says.

the last 20% or so went like nothing.

**note** I counted 78 name drops up to this point. Of those probably 60% were gratuitous and added nothing to the story.

The heart of the story has finally come to play...the turning point if you will. There have been some good points up to there, truisms about parenting. But mostly junk. Once the drama starts though...the book becomes infinitely better. I am caught up.

Name dropping is really distracting. Some paragraphs almost read as paid ads. Insane stereotypes although in high school honestly that's par for the course so I'll let it slide. Mr. My-Life-Is-Perfect gets a bit annoying.

So far so so. The name brand dropping is a bit annoying. Apple store, iPad, Land Rover, Modern Warfare. I get where sometimes it lends reality to the world but it's starting to feel a bit commercial-y.

Oh dear, a rainy day. Guess I'll just HAVE to lie in bed and read. :)

Just started this book. Loving it so far.
