i'm so addicted to this book

it's my first time reading japanese literature! so far so good

meh

everything is happening so slowly, but i'm enjoying this book a lot

religious freaks freak me out. also, the bullies in this book... damn. but i do know the entire story, i did watch a movie

why are male writers so WEIRD about how they describe women

men writing women moment. because why is the next female character triss such a wild, h*rny beast for geralt

so much yapping (still not as much as fyodor dostoevsky's yapping scenes)

making geralt a reluctant father figure was the best thing that could've happened to him as a character. also, i feel sorry for non-polish speakers, because polish banter and the natural-sounding dialogues in this are absolutely hilarious. also, feeling very maternal towards ciri! she's so adorable

i like this book a lot more than the previous one, i'm not going to lie. it's so much funnier and much more lighter than the one where there was r*pe every two chapters (literally). it's also great to see the relationships between geralt and other characters

okay, but the relationship between geralt and yennefer is kind of hilarious. i love how geralt just listens to her. WALK HIM LIKE A DOG.

that dragon plot was really funny and enjoyable, but the treatment of the female characters still irks me a lot

geralt witnessing a girl about to get r*ped, and he got mad at her that she started vomiting instead of kissing his hands in greatfulness, wtf? god forbid a young girl has a trauma reaction.

then he proceeds to say that because of that, he started getting involved in this stuff LESS?

i knew he was cold, but that's just disgusting, lowkey. and i know that's it's him recalling his past mistakes, but still.

how come a man who r*ped a woman gets to live and a victim of r*pe dies...

snow white fairytale twisted into a r*pe tale. ANOTHER r*pe mention in this book. what is up with male authors and their obsession with r*pes?

sara hashem is a GREAT writer, that's all i'm gonna say
