Starting the new year with a book I've wanted to read for a while.
Like how does it end? How does the love triangle end 😔.

Thankfully the library had it in stock.
I went in there planning on getting just that one book but left with 4. . .
Like, what kind of sorcery is this.

It's 2:14 a.m
I've got college tomorrow.
But here I am reading a book on an arrogant gay man and a blind man. It's addictive y'all.
To be fair it's been a year since I've read the first book, but im not going to with how long it took me to go through it.

Oh no 😰

This reminds me of the one fanfic child me would read, ' flowers from 1970 '.

It's cute.
I love it. I love the way the story goes.
But I'm scared, it's going too well.

He raises a brow. "You fell asleep at the end"
"Me? Asleep?" I scoff. "No, no. I closed my eyes to better hear the dialogue."
"I didn't realise you were fluent in french"
"Oui," I say and then take a bite of the pizza, "there's a lot you don't know about me"

Decided to read this instead.
And oh my god the flashbacks were adorable up until you get the slap saying he DIED. I mean what do I expect I'm the one picking this book up 😭✋
I've surprisingly read more than I expected in one sitting. I don't exactly remember the page I stopped at.
Loving it so far 🦆

I would've liked to finish it but it's just getting too confusing for me to actually enjoy it.
Might dnf it after a couple of pages if it continues like that 😔.

I'm probably high while reading this or something cause what the hell just happened.
This is such a slow read I have no idea if I'll finnish it before the deadline.

I decided to give this book another chance since it's been a while and I didn't get to the end. Someone gifted me it and hey, it would be rude to not read it 👹

Finished chapter 1.
And uhm, this is interesting? Confusing.

Time to read a blindly picked library book!
The cover looks interesting to be fair.

Wow, uh, just wow.
I have to say I'm shocked by the plot twists and actually sad that the books ending.

But with my fare share of crime thrillers, this has to be the one that leaves me speechless in the YA genre.

It isn't going down well for me and I just keep stalling. I feel like something's changed with me or the book and I just lost interest, I might dnf it tbf.
What do you guys think?

Takkan is a sweetheart.
I feel bad for him after getting his point of view on the situation, Shiori did abandon him right on the doorway of their betrothal.
But at the same time he's trying to be open minded about it.
I wonder if he's figured out the person he's talking to is the cursed Princess.

I forgot about the dragon for a second, where's our cocky Seryu.

Ooh, drama. I wonder who killed the poor lad. Must've been someone smart, since they could brew Four Breaths

So far this scene is a 10/10

☆♡ I was about to tell him there were no future paper cranes when Seryu continued.

“Fold one when you’re ready and send it into the wind. I’ll know to wait for you here at this lake.”
He turned the bowl upside down on the ground, marking the spot where we’d met today so neither of us would forget it.

“One last thing, Shiori—”

“What is it?”

“Next time, bring more rice cakes.” ♡☆

Okay. Okayyy.
We finally get a little smooch, Stephen got over his fear and shame. Accepting that he does care about our little innocent marshmallow Danny.

As I'm reading this I don't know what to think of it to be fair. I like it so far but at the same time the cover shows Danny having brown eyes and yet in the book it states he has blue with violet speckles. A minor detail which pisses me off.
Fun fact. Do not ask me about Military ranks because I had to Google who's higher up in the ranks and what's what.
