This book is very slow to reveal what going on. Half way in and still nothing is revealed cept the MCs getting hot and heavy 😮‍💨

Enjoying this book, the syntax, the world building, and characters are really well written. Makes me realize I haven’t read a book I’ve really enjoyed in a bit and that the books recently have poor syntax.

Easy read for sure (other than the first couple chapters). Enjoying it for the most part. I can appreciate all the scenes developing their relationship you wouldn’t typically get in other books. Tys language can be a little rough for me to read. I know he just got out of prison but damn 😮‍💨. I don’t like when men call women bitch.

This book already isn’t nearly as good as fourth wing. It’s a little repetitive. Every chapter so far has violet gushing/horning over xaden’s while fighting her resentment towards his secrecy. It feels a lot like copy and pasting the same lines into each chapter.

Still enjoying the book, it’s now just slightly cheesy given Violets nickname, but that’s a very minor flaw in an otherwise great book.

I’m enjoying this one a little too much. After the disappointment of Lore and the ship wreck of Court of Thorns and roses, this book has been a god send.

The heroine, plot, story building, and dialogue area done well.

This has everything I want in a dystopian YA book.

Ok. Just got barely past the birthday. I can’t do it. This shit is annoying. Girl can’t stand up for herself. Dude is a walking red flag. And the mother is a joke. Can’t keep reading.

Main character isn’t that likable but her love interest and his mother are 100 times worse…both are such red flags.

Unexpectedly turned out to be the perfect book to read while moving home and quitting my job. Helped me to let go of things I’ve been hoarding for too long. Also, the author went through a work slump and decided to quit her job as well.

Enjoying this story better than Anthony’s. Thought it would be a Cinderella story cliche, but I’m pleasantly surprised.

Not sure if it’s just me, but it seems like Kinsella’s protagonists are very similarly written. Girls with low self confidence who are clueless/ditsy and have a specific skill they haven’t recognized. If Kinsella follows this formulaic writing, I’m guessing the male protagonist (usually uber successful) in this book will swoop in and rescue the lead and make her realize what she has to offer.

Ok, I’ve gotten to the big wedding scene and I’m over it. I’ve tolerated Lucy up until this point but I find her really hard to like. I don’t hate her but her monologues/thoughts are annoying to read.
