The background stories are starting to link more as chapters go on and keeping us on the edge as every few chapters that he brings up Alicia in the therapy session, that’s some sort of progression i.e. the first time he see zero communication, next look at him and and then the next time most recent time we seen her he hits enough because she starts to basically shake in a form of no.

So far I would say the book is building a good story with backstories, that can rarely be insanely interesting but in this book it’s solid and I’m so fascinated to see how Alicia may or may not change and what actually happened cause the prologue made her sound alright and that she loved her husband dearly
