I was rocking with Julia originally. Start of “Two” I assume that first bit was a lot of world building, that was very good at that. You get a good look of how the Government works and there is always a looming threat of reveal to Winston’s state. Everything is eerie and secret. Very well written piece. Love the way Orwell describes the loss of his mother. He remembers that she did love him and possibly sacrificed her love for him to let him survive. The 2 Minute Hate makes me think about Twitter. A place/time in which you direct anger about political ongoings aimlessly until aimed at other people that you barely even know, all so that it is not directed at “Big Brother” or like you know the US government.
