I really like the concept. I love the story and cycle trope I’m excited to see the knight and witch encounter each other again and maybe how they’ll break it leave their story/curse

I like the concept and the character of Addie she gives me like tragic Shakespearean character vibes but in a good way. I like the deal and how it’s dealt I’m guessing for it to be broke she has to accept death or normality or something idk

I really dunno how to feel on this book like I like some of it mainly lil and Mira and fen but I hate the story like it wasn’t well built up with the whole vampire thing. And then kizzy changing Alger values to be powerful felt a little weird like and the ending was just not for me so

I’m still a little mixed on the book but I do like some of themes and stuff in the book. I also like Mira and lil dynamic as well as lil and kizzys sister dynamic. But yeah I dunno the plot is still a little convoluted at times as I feel like to much is explored without any further explanation so

It’s quite different to what I was expecting but it has intrigued me. I do think it is a little convoluted with its opening as a lot is introduced with little to no explanation but I’m hoping that will pay off further into the book maybe?

I’m fairly happy with the conclusion I actually grew to quite like Jen as a character which is cool and I like the reveal though I feel it could of maybe been set up better??

Kinda wasn’t expecting her and Hannah to have kissed (like I definitely sensed some tension between their dynamic but still) I’m not entirely sure who it is is still which is crazy I just hope whoever it is that it’s good twist and pays off well. My theory is I dunno maybe Hannah was harboring feelings for Jen and one of the friends got jealous?

I’ve read a bit more and I’m very intrigued as to who did it as I like how the book subverts who it is. I can’t really say for certain but I feel it’s definitely linked to one of the main people in the friend group who I’m not so sure yet

I’m fairly convinced someone in the friend group did it but not sure who I feel like Lottie would be to obvious and same with Elliot but I maybe wrong. Maybe it was the dad but I dunno. I find it a fairly interesting book

I’m quite invested I like the character of Jennie and the dynamic she had with Hannah I’m curious as I reckon one of the friend group is responsible to what happened to her maybe Lottie but that feels to obvious but rather maybe she knows who did it and is trying to cover for them?

I want to also add I think their story just ended badly for how it was built up in the beginning. I also think we didn’t learn much about mara which is disappointing she was quite interesting and at first very curious to find out more about her but we never did which was a disappointment. The only thing I really enjoyed was the Lenny and Blair plot that was done really well

I’ve finished it and yeah I definitely agree it’s the weakest in the series like Mara and kitt story start off well and intriguing but got boring and wasn’t well ended it felt a bit rushed and weird. I think Mara should off maybe tried to kitt the king of the Morse through a deal with him or something for a good death I think that would have been more interesting of a plot

I find it quite interesting that the author decided to make Blair relatable and flawed it definitely fleshes out her character more from the first book which I appreciate. I also like her dynamic with Lenny it’s sweet and I’m pretty sure the ‘vision’ pae so of her at the end of book 3 was the actual Blair as they faked her death seemingly which is quite interesting and I’m curious to see what happens

This boom seems good I quite like the character of Mara and intrigued to see where it goes. I do find it interesting that this is the least liked book in the series so I’m curious to know why. I also like Lenny and Blair’s dynamic I wonder if they do become unrequited lovers or something? As I think there was more to Blair using her powers to stop Lenny during the fight with pae I reckon she was protecting him

I’m a bit eh on the ending I like it and it’s fairly bittersweet but I find the whole Kai just automatically getting the throne a little eh I guess maybe it goes against the book/series arc for pae that she doesn’t need a title or anything but I don’t know I think it would have been more sweet to see her accept her strength she always had and decided to continue using it be the rightful queen

It’s really good I liked the final trial I feel there will definitely be consequences from it for all three of them as it was definitely BRUTAL. I like the twist with Mak (kinda forgot he existed) but him being the wielder and letting pae kill him was very tragic

I’m glad we didn’t spend to long on the boat journey cause I reckon I would have got bored very quickly. The twist with the daughter I have a felling will be revealed to be pae is the secret daughter and will take the throne from kitt either by abdication or him dying. Also the twist with Kai was good explains the treatment he got from edric

It’s getting interesting I’m kinda convinced this daughter edric had is pae but I dunno if it’ll just be weird she’s with Kai and kitt technically so we’ll see

Pae is still definitely my favorite character in the series I like her attitude and determination. I think the first trial was really good and I have a theory that each trial will give her something to make her more ‘queenly’ like the crown from this trail and maybe like town/cloak or scepter?

I like the aspects of paedyn having to go back and do more trials it’s very full circle moment. I wonder how it’ll get disrupted cause it definitely will. I like the relationship/friendship with kitt it feels natural and I like how the author isn’t forcing a love triangle or anything I’m still with the theory kitt is gonna give up the throne in some capacity but I’m interested to read more

I forgot to write earlier oops… anyway it’s been nice getting back into reading as much last book I dnf as it was just not intriguing me and was quite convoluted in my opinion. Anyway I like this book just for the fact it’s a quick and easy to follow fantasy. But I do really like the characters like pae and the story/world. I’m really curious to see what happens my prediction is kitt will abdicate the throne

Still haven’t fully immersed into the story but I hope it’ll be more interesting when understand the politics and characters better

I like the twist with Alice I just hope the rest of the book pays off good. Like I hope maybe Marlowe tries to move on from akliha (don’t know how to write her name) but I’m not sure she will like I think it might of worked better with that theme of the plot if she learned to overcome what happened and maybe move on?

Can’t lie I wasn’t expecting that twist with the sisters and what happened to Clara it was well developed and devastating I wonder if any of the other siblings worked out that unity (ironic given the name) was to blame for all of there misfortune? I’m curious to see how it’ll continue to play out

The book is good I like how they made the twist with the other sibling and not have Clara be the reason max died. I do still really like the main group of characters and I still can’t really say who will Marlowe (finally got her name) will end up with

I’m guessing the main girl is going to get with Riki? Or if not I feel like riki will be the main one to help her with overcoming what happened with the fire. I’m still not entirely sure why they were brought to island my only thought is maybe the dr person is trying reenact what originally happened with the family for her book as she made a weird comment about history
