Lehane sure knows how to story tell, all the imagery and language really sets the gritty tone and really makes you feel like you are living the 1970s

A tough read with all the racism touched on but an interesting insight particularly from Mary’s POV who questions right vs wrong

Can’t help but to keep picturing shitt’s creek’s Alexis and Mutt as Alexis and Daniel lol

I wonder how significant the dad’s POV is (like is the twist gonna be someone who they know 👀)

Also liking Karin’s style of writing - love how I already feel like I know the characters and their motives for things, also the story telling is descriptive enough but still realistic

Part 3 - the final stretch

So many questions and theories in my head
Henry’s story is lowkey giving parasite meets Jonestown - is it David who was with the parents/did he ‘fake’ the suicide? Or could it have been Justin with all his pills etc
Libby - who is her brother and sister (is Lucy her sister? Or was she just one of the boarders)
Lucy - do fiddlers really make that much lol
Waiting to see how it all connects 👀
