I feel like I’m kinda hooked in the plot and am dying to see how everything turns out, bc I have absolutely no idea who is/are behind Simon’s death. I have a suspicion that it was actually Mr Avery, but I rlly don’t know 🤷

It’s very very good (as I expected) 👌
The characters are described in the classic Lynn painter way of ‘I’m really nice but struggling with some tension within my family’. So far, the loose plot line is not the ‘getting along well but we become intimate then we grow apart until we realise we love each other’ plot that some of her other books like better than the movies or betting on you have.

I’ve been soooooooo excited to read this book since I got for my bday a month ago, so it’s a miracle I’ve managed to leave it unread since I got it! So far it’s been living up to my expectations. I’ve alway absolutely loved Lynn painter books and she might be my favourite author, so let’s jus say this book was basically made for me ❤️❤️

The book’s made me realise how much I’ve missed graphic novels (I loved them when I was younger but haven’t read any for ages).
I’ve been reading it really fast as well, so I think I’ll finish it quickly!!!!

I like how some chapters are set in the present day in Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 and some are set in past lives throughout history. As a history-interested gal, I very much appreciate the perspectives into her past lives ❤️

I have absolutely no idea what’s gonna happen next bc like Reed’s gone home with his parents, we know what’s happening with Harry, we know how the Mum is connected to Reed. We literally know everything!! I think… 🤔

The writing style reminds me of Nova Wheetman or Katrina Nannestad. Coincidence that’s they’re all Aussies? 😏😏😏

It’s not bad, considering that it’s not romance, and I’m very picky about non-romance books, but it’s not all that good either, sooooo… prolly a 3 star book for me so far ⭐️⭐️⭐️
I think it’s meant for a younger audience than me, so ig it makes sense that I’m finding it kinda boring 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

It’s kinda predictable but still pretty interesting. Maybe I’m not enjoying it as much as I probably should because it’s the book I have to analyse in English rn…. 😒😒😒
