The hobbit is a fun read so far, not too heavy and serious, and a lot less lore than I was thinking htere would be. The ring is a lot more simple than it is in the LOTR films, makes me wonder what that part is like in the LOTR books, and how much Tolkien had planned to do with the story of the ring, whlie he was writing this.

Better than what I remember when I tried to read the audio book, managing to stop just picturing the movie characters in my head while I read it which is sick.

The opening to this book has a whole chapter on why programming is important. And it explains that software is involved in almost everything we do these days, and a huge amount of it is written is the language this guy came up with C++.

Book presents all its ideas really nicely and so far has some really good general programming tips.

So far so good as an introduction to what C.S Lewis says most christians believe.

His approach to presenting his ideas is humble and refreshing, and he makes some very good analogies to support you in grokkin his thinking.
