Loving the prose only two chapters in. Listening on audiobook and it’s very easy to follow along. Good dialogue between characters. Easy to understand motive behind narratives. Excited to dive in to this, I have a feeling I’m going to like it

Very good. Listening on audiobook. Just passed the climax (I think) where geralt, ciri, and yen, all met up and killed vilgefortz. Very sad and astonished that all of the side characters had to die including Regis but hey at least they went down fighting. Very curious to see what happens with the epilogue and how the story finishes. Definitely been a long way coming on this series and it got very slow at times.

A lot different than the movie so far but in my opinion that’s a good thing because I’m not spoiled on what’s going to happen. Story is good. I wish we had more insight on Sweeney Todd himself but I believe we’re getting there. A little hard to follow along due to the writing style of the late 1800s. Honestly it’s just hard to stay engaged but I want to get through it.

Holy shit. Carl disabled the fail safe, the AI is talking through Gary, King whoever the heck is dead, three of the faction wars teams are dead. This book is awesome. It is battle but in this made up world that I've come to love so much. I need more more more.

Holy shit this is amazing so far. I've listened up to chapter 12 at this point audio only. I never would have guessed the former crawlers would join up. And all the cookbook authors!?!? I can tell this is going to get crazy and I can't wait. It is doing a good job at a slow start and build up.

chapter 48. First check in, loving it so far. The card system is great. Carl just faced his Dad and that was really cool. The AI has finally, officially gone rogue and now I can't wait to see what that brings. All the teams tried to drop out of Faction Wars. The players all have to fight soon and I feel like some of the side characters are going to die :( Hope it's not Elle or Imani

Holy shit, the first chapter where they meet Beatrice on Odette's. Amazing. Donut was roasting the fuck out of her and it was funny. Also, "viva la revolucion"???? What has Donut been getting up to behind the scenes I need to know now!

Absolute banger so far. Coming straight out the gate with action as soon as the floor starts and I can tell this is going to be a good one. I am glad this book is longer because that means I have more time to get consumed by the story and the world. I am loving the lawyer stuff too and how we are getting more plot of the outside-the-dungeon-world.

I started last night and I’m already almost 200 pages in.

It’s funny, intriguing, unique, creative, and tickles a spot I didn’t know I had (that wasn’t supposed to sound weird). I’ve played a lot of different video games in my life ranging from minecraft to RPG’s to MMO’s to tabletops and this book feels like I’m in one of those video game worlds and it’s just honestly so much fun.

Big time skip but a good way of explaining it by having dandelion find geralt.

The first chapter showing the insides of nilfgaard was a little confusing as there were a lot of new names introduced in a short amount of time, which made it a little hard to follow.

Okay, now the book is getting juicy. Finally there’s a god action sequence and shit is starting to get real. Codringher and Fenn were murdered, there was a coup de tas that I still don’t fully understand because it’s hard to keep track of all the sorcerer names, and geralt is kicking ass. Also, ciri became an oracle? I don’t care, I’m loving it.

Book is getting better, I really like the scene with Ciri and the Wyvern. I wish there was more Geralt because he’s getting interesting now

This book is already better than the previous, The Blood of Elves, as that felt it was only setting up the major characters of the story, but this is getting deeper into the plot. There is already some good suspense with Geralt’s meeting with Codringher and Fenn and that dialogue kind of laying out possibilities of where the book may go and leaving Gerald with some ultimatums.
