Yea this is bad. It’s hard to believe this was written by someone whose sibling is as talented as Charlotte Brontë was.

I have low expectations lol. My wife hates this book but I made myself a promise to go through all of the gothic classics this year so it has to be done.

Genuinely loving this book. Can’t wait to wrap it up and get on to more of Dunlap’s work!

Fantastic start, such an easy read and so well written

Wow, talk about an explosive start. I think a lot of people will identify with the struggle here of justifying the work of a defense attorney. I know I’ve felt that way more times than I can remember, how can they defend people who commit horrible crimes? Really interesting start

Tense, brutal, hard to swallow. I don’t know what to make of this book. So much good but some really difficult sections

Wow this book is fantastic so far! The foils of Claire and Lydia, the mysteries pulling you in deeper and deeper! What a great read even if some parts are a bit tough to get through!
