Already laughing out loud this is so funny

It’s a mixture of mind numbing politics - which I don’t normally mind but in this case I am losing interest
And spice that has little flavour
Which is a shame because I was so excited for POC leads for once
But they are mid personalities for me at the moment

I can’t wrap my head around this book tbh

Ok so far we have dry politics that’s making my eyes water and not very engaging
A fiery lead female which is interesting at least but I may have realised I don’t love a book with instant bedroom scenes I mean I haven’t even gotten used to them as a reader yet
Feels too soon and makes me not very invested

I am so excited to start this ARC copy
I have been looking at this cover for ages and am so lucky to get to review this ahead of time for my bookstore

I just love Malik he is the best character
His brother as Yhea said is a totally arsehole lil

I am having so much fun with this I am so invested I keep laughing and crying
Imagine if I hadn’t spoiled some of the plot lines hahaha
I stayed up late last night reading

So far loving it and yes wishing I read this series first lol
Learn from my mistakes read this before iron and embers

On the edge of my literal seat this entire book has me feeling on edge! Giggling and also intrigued

The yearning is next level in this
This is high level wanting on a new scale with a side plot of fantasy
But so far very interesting

Also why did the plus size girl have to be paranoid about food control
That’s just annoying

She is soooo in denial it’s blowing my mind
Gal you are in a different bloody galaxy you are not going home!!

I am seriously so frustrated with Hannah she may be the worst FMC by far
She is selfish and rude to everyone and I am trying so hard to be compassionate for her but I can’t. I also hate that ruby has made the plus size women into a full Karen. Why can’t she be a fun curvy gal for once?!
Frustrating doesn’t cover how I am feeling right now I don’t know if I can continue

Man this big started so intense
But Emma builds the characters so well and is very respectful about even the triggering content that I kept going. The themes it’s really felt with was how do you rebuild your life after it’s been shattered to pieces. The MMC manages to be both terrifying and beautifully open.

Ok it’s a 3.5-4 star rate
I wanted to love this so much an I really enjoyed most of the world building aspects and lets be honest Lust as a MMC was great!! His humour and his growth was the best in the book. Selena was a struggle for me more than I wanted - I wanted to love her but she just annoyed me at the end with some of her choices. Also I feel the writing was a little messy and dragged on. But overall fun!

Ok I am very not into the premise
The first 50-100 pages I really struggled as I didn’t like her job at all
The romance between them saved it
Their dates were actually so beautiful and they built a solid relationship
But yeah what a crazy ride
He is a fire MMC though
He may live rent free in my head for a while

DNF. got half way through and TBH
I am struggling hard I wanted to like this so much
Queer story based in medieval fantasy yes please
But I could for the life of me connect to any of the characters who has zero chemistry just because you write that you like someone doesn’t mean that it’s enough to make the reader feel it
I was worried it was a me thing but I kept pushing through till I couldn’t no spark

I loved the storyline and the characters
Being a teacher I really related to it and growing up in the farm and moving into the city this book made me miss the country life.
The writing was up and down for me though especially the dialogue. But it had a great heart and I really enjoyed the ending.

It’s just so well written, some scenes are unbearable in their detail. The pain and the violence and the grief.

I am still getting overwhelmed by the multiple storyline’s but at least I am more invested in them now. The drama is good but I don’t Know I think I liked the one before more.

I am so Obsessed. This may be a new favourite for me. Great world building and character. And unexpected storyline
