Actually, I don't know if I trust the process. If I read one more fat=bad comment by any of the characters I might just buy a wholeass cake and eat it all myself as a form of protest!

The fatphobia is STAGGERING (!) but I'm trusting the process here (Camilla, don't fail me here, let it just be the MC's misguided pov!).The prose and story feel a bit lackluster - the MC can't decide if she's a girlboss or a doormat for reasons unknown as of yet, but at some point I'm going to stop caring about the MC who alludes to her dark past if you keep feeding me a nothing burger!

Why does she have to be a spineless cretin, so he can be so much smarter, stronger and more balanced than her? I'm not rooting for them! She has to stop being a doormat. And he has to stop being an asshole. FAR AWAY FROM EACH OTHER

The fmc is insufferable, she's a doormat to everyone around her while pretending she's self aware. My god if being with a man teaches her to take control over her life I'm going to start an insurrection!

The old lesbian couple living their best cottagecore life is truly a highlight (go on and try to prove me wrong - Hinch even says"Men are dirty dogs"!)

In my defence - this book was a bday gift and reading Twilight in my formative years has truly changed my brain chemistry!
