I love Ali's paranormal creations but the first novella in the books felt a little tedious.

The FMC's backstory seemed unnecessarily elaborate for a plot that didn't really need it. Or maybe I was simply expecting something closer to Hot for a Slayer, where we actually got to ponder the fascinating mechanics of immortality and what it means to live forever.

On to the next novela 🤞🖤
