A character who just graduate has a harsh father who insist him to join the army, he does it in order to please his father. The name of the main character is named Rasfad, a black kid. "An ROTC kid with mad ark skills who doesn't take things seriously" (Reynolds 10). There's a future at steak, a future where no one else will have to be ansent because of police brutality.
