Just started this book and I think it's good so far, even though nothing is happening quite yet. I'm really interested in the concept of the book and the art style is so cool to look at as well. I say that im pretty excited to get into the story.

Im on page 111 now. I realized every week I read its about 20-25 pages. Xie Lian was able to pass as a beautiful bride and was able to get the ghost groom to take him until Xie Lian decided it was time to strike. The ghost groom ends up turning into a bunch of butterflies and gets away.
Im really like how beautiful these scenes were written. It was written in so much detail and description.

So far in the book XIe Lian is in now in the mortal realm with his "side kicks" (lol) Fu yao and Nan Feng. They are on their mission of finding the "ghost groom", the ghost groom is what the name is. I'm actually not sure if he is dead but he basically is a demon that wifes up women and kills them in the process. So to capture this ghost groom they decide Xie Lian should dress up as a woman to lure the ghost groom.

I'm remembering a lot of the scenes from the show. I'm enjoying this book a lot and I'm only page 59. Maybe because its so familiar but I love the descriptions and details about the world in the book and the cultural mentions. I also find Xie Lian pretty funny lol

So far this is interesting me, because I've seen the show and I'm starting to remember some of the scenes and I'm excited to read the rest. I'm hoping I get to see/read the introduction to Hua Cheng because he is one of my favorite characters.

I've read like 2-3 pages today I think, and I am really interested so far. It was mostly just a tiny backstory for now but i'm excited to start the actually story for Xie Lian. I chose this book because i've always wanted to read it fully, and in 8th I've only read half of it.

I don't know or cant predict what will happen in the future pages, but the kids still piss me off. I might be warming up the the kids (the boys specifically), but they have no manners its so annoying, The reading is going fine, I like reading it but I get a little annoyed or mad at a lot of the characters.

Its entertaining but I just cannot with the characters. Firstly, not a huge fan of the art style. Second, those kids make me SO upset, except the oldest kid that's going to the military and the sister. Also the dad is so ugly and annoying as well and he keeps beating his kids, like on one of the pages he beats his kid because his kid thinks his family doesn't love him. He literally threw his kid down the stairs??

The book is pretty good so far, it kinda makes me a little sad though. I really hate the children except for the sister. Also the mother literally committed attempted murder?? Like hello that's crazy, but they might all die anyway so it probably doesn't matter. I feel really bad for the mom because I just know shes under so much pressure for needing to find food for her kids while her stupid kids are yelling at her.
