I've just finished the first third of "Independent Study" and I have really enjoyed it so far. Cia's starting to realize the University is just as dangerous as the testing, with secret challenges and classmates disappearing. "Trust is a luxury I can no longer afford" (74). This shows her growing caution as she learns more hidden secrets. I predict Cia will uncover more corruption within the government soon.

I am still really enjoying my book. Cia is facing tough choices as the tests become more dangerous, and she's realizing she can't trust anyone. One quote that stood out is, "Trust is a luxury we can't afford during the testing" (214). I predict that Cia will have to make a hard decision about Tomas and whether he's truly on her side.

I have enjoyed this book so far. In this book, must survive intense trials to earn a place at a top university and a better future. Each test is full of surprises, making the story unpredictable and exciting. The line, “Be careful who you trust, Cia” (pg.43), hints at betrayal. I predict that a major plot twist is coming, and someone Cia trusts will betray her.
