In the last few pages it's shown how much the war has affected Marji. She's been feeling so confused and alone ever since her best friend left. Not just her best friend leaving but mostly everyone, no one wants to stay since such a rough change has been happening. I think this is the most interesting chapter of the book, the attention to detail and amount of information I can understand is really entertaining.

Right now the books showing Marji growing up and her wanting her parents to be more present and active. I think soon the story will start to shift into focusing on the revolution. I think this book can be for middle school and high school readers, the author knows how to keep a reader hooked and interested.

I just started reading this book. I think the beginning is kind of slow, but I'm willing to continue reading. It looks kind of engaging in an adventure and journey way, books like this in the past usually begin to get more interesting towards the end.

I really enjoyed reading this book. I liked seeing all the journeys and adventures she went on while living in Tokyo. I think this book helped me remain focused during the 15 minutes because of all the detail and engaging pictures.
