I was wrong, the FMC isn’t annoying, she’s an asshole.

The FMC is annoying. I didn’t like her in the last book and she’s not really redeeming herself in her own book.

This book has half of the series not released yet. I’m going to put this away until it’s closer to completion.

Ok I’m done…I am really disappointed because I’ve liked a couple of books this author wrote but this one feels off. Did you use AI?

There are a lot of inconsistencies in this book. Also, the vocabulary used feels out of place.

I think I’m going to end up DNFing this book. It’s already showing inconsistencies. One day she’s looking up Grayson online and deciding he’s not for her and she’s going to lose his number and then the next chapter he says let’s go on a date and she’s like, “ok!”

The writing is so repetitive!

I’ve realized that this book is a beautiful explanation of how women show their love to their families and lose themselves in the process. How our love language of taking care becomes a job and is overlooked as anything worth noting. We take care of our loved ones by making their lives easier and it gets absorbed into the standard.

Another Omegaverse book that has nothing to do with omegaverse! Also, she’s been running things behind the scenes for 7 years and yet, only repeats the same 4 examples every time it’s mentioned. Sure, they’re good examples but there is no way that’s all she’s done. Also, I keep having to go back pages to find where the conversation started because responses come after 3-4 pages of inner thoughts!

I’m going to DNF this book because I feel like it’s going to be not well written. From the reviews I’ve seen I think it’s a “life’s too short to waste on crappy books” situation.

I’m going to DNF this book because although it had potential, I feel like it’s AI. It’s supposed to be an omegaverse but just saying someone is an alpha or a beta and none of the other traditional traits makes me think it was just to attract readers of that genre.

I’m not going to put this book away for now. I may pick it up again but I don’t remember why i had it on my read list to begin with.

Actually, I take it back. The story between the FMC and her alphas is annoying. The relationship progression is so confusing and makes zero sense. They are scent matched and in a pack, why the hell would it be “kind of scummy” to have sex with your bonded alpha just because you got turned on by other alphas IN YOUR PACK?!?

How could the quality of the story in book one drop so low in book two?? The story between the MMCs and the FMC is ok but the inconsistencies with her family is driving me crazy.

I’m learning that I’m not a fan of submissive men…I’m not a fan of the “good boy” Also, Lily is so annoying every time the guys do something for her…you don’t always have to remind them that you’re capable of doing something yourself, just accept it for what it is, they know you’re capable, they just want to do things for you. Say thank you

I feel like there are a few inconsistencies. One of the MMC is described as having short hair and then later in the book has a man bun. Also, the FMC is working 2 jobs plus now has a side job cleaning a hoarders house and trying to hustle to make ends meet and yet, in less than a week she’s had 2 4-hour naps while the guys were at work… I only have one job and I don’t have time for a 4-hour nap!

I’m going to DNF this book. The editing is terrible. Spelling, typos and grammar errors can’t be ignored. The plot of her having a secret baby with one of the MMCs just isn’t written well. She’s known how to get in touch with him and yet doesn’t? She’s obviously not hiding the fact she has a child so why not tell the father??

I feel like this was a really great story given to a 14 year old to write. Sometimes the writing just feels juvenile. And c’mon, forgive Bram already and bond with all of your mates!! One month into the 3rd term and you’re just “ready to forgive Bram”?? Life is too short to hold such a grudge for being called a slut. It’s also very repetitive.

I’m liking this series so far but I’m finding the second term really repetitive.

I’m enjoying the world building but like Sadie’s story, the FMC is pissing me off.

I’ve realized why this book is so annoying… the whole series really. It’s like a good story but it’s being retold by a 14year old. It’s all over the place, phrases used that give me the ick and overly dramatic.

I’m not going to read this book because I’m not as crazy about how it’s ending. I may listen to the audio book when it comes out.

I’m going to not read this book because a lot of the reviews make it sound like I’m going to be frustrated with the writing and the characters.

I really wanted this to be a good read. It had all the tropes I like but I feel like the writing is really choppy and when I saw “air conditioner’s chilling breath” … ok I’m out! DNFed at 16%

I’m going to DNF this book because something about it drove me to look up comments and found details that confirmed my suspicions. It has a lot of the tropes that I like, curvy girl, grumpy possessive boy, family dynamics…but it didn’t land for me. These are notes for myself in case I try to pick up this book again.

I may pick this book up at a later time but right now, it’s too dark for me.

I’m struggling to finish this book. I like Navessa’s writing style and Lights Out was one of my favourites but I’m realizing something that I never really put in words and that is I don’t like Alpha women. I like strong FMCs but feminine strong, not masculine strong. The FMC in this book is so annoying I can’t even remember her name.

Am I becoming too fussy? I’m going to DNF this book because I don’t understand why this is an omegaverse when there is very little that follows standard omegaverse “truths” it’s ok to be different but give some context to how the author views their omegaverse. DNFing at 22%
