average paris metro experience

the most catastrophic reading slump known to mankind has taken me hostage

send help

oh my god this is not intriguing in the slightest

this is... quite different from what i remember

WE'RE SO BACK

i genuinely think septimus is one of the best characters ever written to be related to

expectations are HIGH

me walking into my doppelganger fiction class without finishing the book, not even knowing i'd be asked to do a whole narratology mind map today 🧍🏻‍♀️

anaïs nin is a new embodiment of my personality

hell yeah

“i like writing you. i like reading you. when i finish your letters, i spend frantic hours in secret composing my replies, pondering ways to send them. i can trigger any combination of chemical ups and downs with a carefully worded phrase; a factory within me will smelt any drug i seek. but there’s a rush in reading and sending against which no drug compares.”

i know the feeling

"my dear mood indigo"
"my careful cardinal"

OH YES give me that yearning please

norah, my dear, you are stronger than all these men combined

OHHH THIS IS THE OG CAITVI I'M DYING

when my course was called “bogs and moors in english and irish literature,” i honestly didn’t expect that i’d actually be reading a book about BOGS

this is delightful to read

“if i cannot inspire love, i will cause fear…”

oh how i love this quote. how deeply it feels intertwined with me. how i read this entire chapter with a knot in my chest every single time.

i just told my german professor the turkish title of the play and his immediate reaction was “that sounds like a tongue twister,” as if EIN SOMMERNACHTSTRAUM is exactly the pinnacle of pronounceability.
