Rest in peace Maikh Kahn, you were a great horn, a brother to Hilo, and loyal to the no peak clan. I still can’t wrap around that Maro was the one that lead the assassins inside. I bet you Tar is fucking pissed 😡.

A deal 🤝 was made with the bosses of Southtrap. Kaul Hilo is finally showing what it means to be a pillar, the spine of the clan. Hilo has the backbone, guts, and very understanding of the situation.

I’m glad that Shae is still alive after the duel between Ayt Mada ⚔️. This book also experiences racism, as we can see in the recent attacks on Kekonese at Espenia 🤦‍♂️.

I did not expect Shae to be pregnant 🤰 and also her clean blade challenge to Ayt Mada? Cmon now.

I never realized that this book is so political. It’s not just combat, jade abilities, clan wars, etc. it’s very similar to the real world where nations go to war against one another, and there’s consequences behind it.

That car scene 😳 I did not expect that at all. Lots of things happening atm. Mountain clan members going behind their pillar’s back, busting jade smugglers, hijacking a boat cargo.

Holy f— that was dark. I did not expect that at all. This is really giving me peaky blinders vibes, they do what necessary without hesitation 💥 🔫.

Way to go Anden for standing up for yourself 👏 love the fight scene. Also, the clan is plotting to take down the mountain lfgggg 🔥

Finally Hilo confronted the Jade smuggler kingpin, and that 🌶️ scene with Shae’s new man 🤐.

Kaul “The Torch” Sen is dead, my condolences … the book started off 🔥.

Lots of Hilo’s Fist and Fingers are dead because of Gohnt. The war is reaching its climax 🔥.

Ayt Mada and Kaul Hilo finally had their official meeting, war between the two clans are going crazy, and Bero plotting a devious plan? What a time to be alive 🤯💥.

It’s been a while since I last read. I’ve been addicted to playing Monster Hunter Wilds and I forgot I have a series to read, anywho I’m back. The war is on 🔥 Shae is starting to become my favourite character because of how smart, calm, decisive she is. Can’t wait to read and finish this book this next few days.

Goddamn, I did not expect that dead. I kinda got emotional after it, rest in peace to him tho. The mountain and no peak is at war, finally 🔥 and Shae being the weather man? Peak.

Now I understand why Lan is acting strange lately. All that stress from being a pillar, his injury, carrying new jades? must be really tough for him. This book is so reach with character development, I freaking love it!

The fight between Kaul Lan and Gam were close 😬 and it was epic. This is what an action pack fantasy book looks like, hell yeah! I really thought it was going to go down between the mountains and no peak.

I love how every single main characters have their own chapters dedicated to them. It deepens the story, deepens the world-building. This is how you make a good fantasy story. Everything is thoughtful, has a good storyline that you can follow and will actually excite you to read more. 🐉

Things are heating up 🔥 Characters like Gont, Anden, and Ayt Mada are introduced. Story wise too are getting interesting bit by bit.

Right off the bat, there’s a good world building which makes a great fantasy. Also, the magic system is interesting as well. All these kung fu stuff, making me want to read more. Kaul Hilo, Kaul Lan, Doru, and Kaul Sen are the main characters that are introduced in the first 50 pages.

Chapter “Shine a light on the here and now” is what I stand in life. Don’t live in the past because it’s causes depression, and don’t worry about the future because it’s causes anxiety. Live in the present, right now is what matters the most. Remember, yesterday doesn’t exist and tomorrow is not promised. That’s all.

One of the biggest lesson I’ve learned from the few chapters that I read was real happiness comes from contributing to others, and not the desire to get recognition. Think about it, contributing to the world because you wanted to give you joy. Contributing doesn’t mean charity work or giving to other, an example being a nurse so you can help people. Desiring recognition is unhealthy you’ll end up being unhappy.

Self affirmation vs. Self acceptance, what’s the difference? Self affirmation is lying and gaslighting yourself. On the other hand, self acceptance is accepting the fact that this is what you got and look for ways to do better.

One thing I’ve also learned was from the chapter “you are not the center of the world” was you could be the main protagonist of your own life, but never in the whole world. A narcissist will think of himself as the protagonist and manipulate people so he can get whatever he wants. But a self centred person can care for himself and contribute to the community which is the whole world. Do great things in life!

“Exist in the present”

What I learned from this chapter was never look at someone for who they are because of the actions they do. Instead, follow the “level of beings” because just you being there is enough, you exist and you matter 🫵🏼

“Do not rebuke or praise” chapter blew my mind 🤯

The chapter says do not praise because it’s a form of manipulation. Think about it. When you say “good job” or “that’s great” wouldn’t you think they’re mocking you because they think you’re lower than you? (Vertical relationship). Create a horizontal relationship where 2 people are equal 🟰.
