This book has so many emotional moments. From Niko leaving the clan, I actually felt Hilo’s emotions. I might have to agree with him. Also, Maik Tar is back!? HOLY SH— 😱.

The explosion from KJA building was massive and took out most of the pillars, excluding Hilo and Mada of course. These Anarchist from the clanless movement, they really are something else. This read was all Andens. From legalizing the use of Jade medicine to Espenia, standing up against a thug, it’s all him. One of my favourite characters for sure.

Maik Tar went dark. That was brutal holy sh—. At that moment, I connected with Hilo and if I were in his shoe, I wouldn’t do it too 🤦.

That scene from Shae and Woon though 😳 lots of things happening; Anden went back to Espenia, the tension from KJA meetings, and that Ex Navy Angel gave Hilo some good hits 💥.

The book started off with a statement. Everything that had happened in the previous book takes effect in this book. I can’t wait to read more 👀.

I’m glad that Shae is still alive after the duel between Ayt Mada ⚔️. This book also experiences racism, as we can see in the recent attacks on Kekonese at Espenia 🤦‍♂️.

I never realized that this book is so political. It’s not just combat, jade abilities, clan wars, etc. it’s very similar to the real world where nations go to war against one another, and there’s consequences behind it.

That car scene 😳 I did not expect that at all. Lots of things happening atm. Mountain clan members going behind their pillar’s back, busting jade smugglers, hijacking a boat cargo.
