I think this one’s a thinker. Been pretty boring for about 200 pages and then finally some shit starts happening with 100 pages to go - but definitely one of those that gets more interesting as you reflect on the characters and themes

My charity shop adventures leave me to pick up some random books - this being one of them. Already enjoying it more than I expected, leaning more into the ‘myth of meritocracy’ side of things than I expected and less of the ‘5 🫨 personality changes 💥 to make you a millionaire 🤑💰💸’ self help book

Ngl really expected to hate this buts it’s hitting the spot rn. Maybe because I just needed some entertainment in my 2 hour commute home

I took one look at the family treee and I KNOW I’m gonna struggle with this lol. WHY does everyone have the same name
