Im fighting hard not to dnf this book. It went on to tell us a story of Ryan’s childhood in three whole chapters!!! All of it could have been cut.

Characters falling flat mid book ahhh!

This book could have been 100 pages shorter, I haven’t finished it yet and I’m sure of it.

So the plot was finally plotting and now not much it’s happening again. Without giving much away it’s hard to believe these characters have a few weeks to get stronger and come up with a plan while the impending doom is impending upon them.
But I guess they have plot armor.

Also it’s 70% of the book and so far Ryan’s abilities have not done anything to further the plot.
Staying positive though

It had a strong start, it’s just falling flat mid book.

…and I’m still waiting for the plot to develop. This is a book about a mercenary whose hobby is to kill child abusers and so far the most interesting part of the plot is the romance between him and his adored mortician. 👀

I picks up tho book today and couldn’t stop, it is witty, banter-filled, funny, grounding.

I need to stop for a bit, because I need for this book to last me more than a day.
